The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched a new website in conjunction with Disney/Pixar to celebrate the launch of WALL-E, the new animated film featuring intelligent robots and space travel.
Offering the user the opportunity to follow in WALL-E’s footsteps in exploring the universe, the site also offers competitions, DIY experiments and more.
Emphasising the theme of the film, our responsibility towards our planet and universe, the website is organised according to 4 themes: Our Place in the Universe, Caring for the Earth, Life in Space, and Exploration and Robotics.
Speaking about the launch, Francesco Emma, Head of ESA's Education Office, said: “As an extension to its existing outreach activities, ESA has developed this website in collaboration with Disney/Pixar. We see this as an exciting new way to introduce young people to the wonders of space exploration.”
