The German government has warned its citizens to avoid using WiFi internet connections wherever possible. The move, which is the strongest made by any government, contrasts strongly with the unbridled messages of promotion coming from the British government.

Furthermore, the official body responsible for the protection of its citizens from radiation also advise against excessive use of mobile phones.

Not enough tests

Speaking for the Ministry, Florian Emrich, advised against prolonged use of WiFi "because people receive exposures from many sources and because it is a new technology and all the research into its health effects has not yet been carried out."

Despite comprehensive international tests into the health impact of WiFi networks on people, there has been no conclusive evidence of any harm being detected.
