Engineering: Free space
Engineering Jobs
Microsoft has said that its Xbox 360 users need more hard disc space to store all the digital content made for the console. Therefore, the software giant has tripled the storage space available.
For US$349 (£179), the Xbox360 will be made available with a 60GB hard drive, while the 20GB unit will be sold at a reduced cost of US$299 until stocks run out.
Albert Penello, director of Xbox product management at Microsoft said: "We know that consumers need more and more space to store the digital content Xbox 360 offers, and we are giving it to them at no extra charge."
The new 60GB console will be on shelves in the US and Canada in early August. There are currently no details on price or availability for Europe.
The new model will be sold with a wireless gamepad, a wired headset and a one-month subscription to Xbox Live.
